Conservative radio talker Jason Lewis will make his reentry into Twin Cities airwaves August 7, when he debuts on KTLK (100.3 FM). Lewis will take over the Monday-Friday 5 p.m.-7 p.m. timeslot currently occupied by Brian Lambert and Sarah Janacek. Lewis left his top-rated KSTP (1500 AM) talk show in 2003 for a station in Charlotte, N.C. Lewis has already moved back to the Twin Cities, but will continue for the next few weeks to broadcast his talk show in Charlotte from Clear Channel headquarters in St. Louis Park. No word on what will happen to the liberal Lambert and conservative Janacek, whose stormy on-air exchanges have created some intriguing radio moments.
I'm glad to hear Jason is coming back to town. Lambert and Janacek had their moments, but often devolved into boring repetition and lameness.
Starting today, Dan Conry took over the 9-11 am spot formerly held by Pat Kessler. Conry used to have the 7-9 pm show. I just looked at the KTLK website, and the evening spot is listed as 'TBA'.
