Oh give me a break.... K v M is pointing out that this is being held at the home of a gay couple. Oh, scarey... Amy Klobuchar is very willing to be very supportive of gay issues, when she is at fundraisers hosted by gays. She tries to avoid the issue in the mainstream media. She told me when asked, that she would probably not include her position on the Federal Marriage Amendment on her website.

The question is whether Klobuchar is getting bad advice from Hillary Clinton on this topic. Hillary is well liked by the HRC black tie crowd. Rank and file gays aren't particularly fond of her. Pam Spaulding calls her "SHillary".

I don't get it. If Amy Klobuchar's campaign was smart, they'd bait Kennedy's campaign into doing some anti-gay lit-pieces, then expose them to a wider audience. Heck, if her campaign was smart, she'd say she takes the position Dick Cheney and Laura Bush take on the Federal Marriage Amendment.

I hope a group like Twin Cities Pride sponsors candidate debates for the Senate and Governor race - plus the 6th District race, then they should invite all the candidates in the major parties.
