Hey - did anyone catch this story on the front page of the Star Tribune - “Federal agency may redefine abortion rules”
Apparently the Feds are thinking that when a woman is raped rather than make sure she gets comprehensive medical care it is more important to make absolutely sure that the medical profession is comfortable providing her with comprehensive care. There is an amazing quote by House speaker Kelliher - about how such a change wouldn’t be in line with the thinking of most Minnesotans - hopefully at the capitol event there were people who revealed how outrageous this is…didn’t just comment on how it might play. As women’s security and hope for ever having a level playing field continues to erode….something tells me Franken won’t touch this topic…reproductive rights make Dems squirm.
Where does Norm Coleman stand on this? Does he agree with the Minnesota Family Council that Emergency Contraception for rape victims is an abortion?
