Let A.I.G. Fail. Please.

Note to Washington DC - it is puzzling and inconsistent to be anxious to over-ride private contracts for home mortgages, and yet cower in fear over contracts for outrageous bonuses that defy any shred of common sense.

Does anybody really think that retaining key employees or executives from the CF known as A.I.G. is a great idea? Who else would hire these incompetents, over-paid frauds? Let them!

Are the bonus payouts to reward performance? If that were true, no federal bailout would be needed.

I guess that status quo means that the taxpayers lose again, even in the face of jaw-dropping circumstances.
